Costa at TEDx Dubbo

If there’s one person who sums up what Urban GreenSpace is about and believes in, it’s Costa Georgiadis.

The man has more passion for gardening and community wellbeing  in his little finger than any industrial food stooge will ever feel in their entire lives about anything.

This talk is from TEDx Dubbo and one of the best I have seen about the importance of community gardens, family, food education, waste and health.

I got particularly excited about halfway through his talk when he starts talking about goat and chicken grazing on grass verges and overgrown and ‘weed’ covered areas- truly a subject of great passion for me . Grass and lawns in the suburbs and cities…Don’t get me started!

Bless you Costa

I love Costa’s idea for replacing the word ‘garbage’ with ‘resource recovery’ & integrating seniors with schools & community gardens. With the growing numbers of elderly in Austrailia it should be a no brainer : )
